Do they really think it is ethical?…

The adoption industry (and agencies) continues to promote on their websites that mothers can have confidential closed adoptions? 
And to do this knowing that adoptee rights organizations have been working for decades, state by state, to change the laws (and succeeding) so we can have our original birth certificates? 
I don’t see ethics (or honesty) at work – do you?  If they were concerned for the mothers like they claim to be,  they would have stopped promising this 30 some odd years ago when the adoptee rights movement began.
