Reading comprehension 101…epic fail as in F

Just finished reading a blog post on an orphan website.  The post was asking for prayers and support for the people in Japan and clearly stated that intercountry adoption of orphans would likely not be needed and was unwise after disasters…clear as day…you could not have misunderstood if you had even a grade school education…

35 out of the 36 comments were variations of: 

“I would love to adopt one or more orphans“…

My vent for the day is:  Really?  Do you think adding another staggering loss of everything they know and are is what is needed?  How about showing some honest compassion for a change and take your wants out of the conversation.
