What is the overwhelming ‘need’ to have children at any cost? ‘I’ don’t get it, have never got it, and highly doubt ‘I’ will ever get it. If a person has to have a child to feel fulfilled as a person at any cost, they really need to take a step back.
Adoption should be the last resort and only in the childs best interest. Taking undocumented/unauthorized babies and young children from their country so they can adopt them out into good ‘Christian’ homes is neither ‘a last resort’ or ‘in the childs best interest’.
I watched an interview of one of the female leaders who had obtained authorization from the DR to bring the children but did not ‘realize’ she needed the sovereign countries permission? How could she not?
I am deeply saddened today. Nothing has changed.
